The frightening nature of logical positions

I know I'm not in the habit of just linking to articles, but I followed the Illinois Senate race with some interest. Not just because the new great hope of the Democrats, Barack Obama, was standing, but because the Republicans couldn't find anyone to stand against him. They were so desperate they even approached the former Chicago Bears coach, "Iron" Mike Ditka, to oppose him. He refused.
