Political correctness and nannying have gone mad. Imagine how I felt when I came home last night to find the headline "Cookie Monster Advocates Eating Healthily":
My beloved blue, furry monster — who sang "C is for cookie, that's good enough for me" — is now advocating eating healthy. There's even a new song — "A Cookie Is a Sometimes Food," where Cookie Monster learns there are "anytime" foods and "sometimes" foods.
Sacrilege! Cookies are anytime foods! In any case, Cookie Monster was always a reassuring presence on the TV. No matter how gluttonous he still retained his figure and remained the friendly chap we know and love. How can they do this to him?
