Gordon Brown would have to be odds-on for the next Pope. The college of cardinals is his ideal electorate given how much he has been courting the grey vote.On another issue, is it just me who finds it strange Prince Charles is postponing his wedding to attend the Pope's funeral? After all, not only is Prince Charles the next person to be head of a Church to which the Pope refused to extend Catholic Communion, he is also a divorcee about to marry another. Then again, maybe it is right he attends. If John Paul II is right, it will without doubt be the last time he ever sees him.
