Putney: Don't Listen to Blair
The result in Putney that has just been announced is quite interesting vis-a-vis Labour's claim that swings to the Lib Dems will let the Tories in. No doubt Labour are already spinning their first loss of the night that way, but the statistics show something completely different. However, the Tory and Labour figures from the last election are practically reversed, so much of the Lib Dem increase in votes is from other parties or the stay-at-homes. Nothing to do with the Labour claims at all.
