Steve Goddard: A Victory Without Success Is Still A Victory
The result of the night for me is in Oxford East where I spent all of yesterday. We managed to slash a 10,000 Labour majority to just 900. That's a spectacular result, and a tribute to the many people who were so kind to back us. I won't name her, but there is one lady in Oxford East who came in a wheelchair to vote, courtesy of a lift from us. It took a total of more than an hour for her to get to the polling station vote and make it back, given her frailty. The spirit she showed is reflected in a truly creditable result in her constituency.
